Orthopaedic Evaluation and Treatment of the Rock Climbing Athlete
Jason Hooper, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS
Jason Hooper, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, has been a licensed physical therapist since 2015. He received his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification in 2018 and his Sports Clinical Specialist certification in 2019. Jason has worked in outpatient orthopedics since 2015 and has a specialty working with patients in the rock climbing community. He is the owner of Hooper's Beta Physical Therapy, where he works exclusively with rock climbers; the Co-Owner of Hooper's Beta YouTube where he creates online content regarding rock climbing training and rehabilitation; and works at UC San Diego Health at the Koman Outpatient pavilion which is a sports and orthopedic center. Volunteer activities include participating at local climbing competitions as on hand medical personal as well as participating in UC San Diego team practices for question and answer sessions.

Jared Vagy, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS received his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) from the University of Southern California (USC) and completed a one-year residency in orthopedics and a one-year fellowship in movement science. And he is the developer of the Rock Rehab Series, a continuing education course series for physical therapists who are interested in treating rock climbers. He is passionate about climbing and enjoys working with climbers of all ability levels, ranging from novice climbers to the top professional climbers in the world.
