Executive Director:  Terri DeFlorian
Description of duties: Management and development of staff including developing and clarifying all roles, duties, and responsibilities; operations compliance, contracts, ensuring building maintenance, managing tenants, and directing development of objectives, policies, budgets and operating plans for AOPT; financial management; ensuring the AOPT mission is carried out through adherence to bylaws, policies, strategic outputs, and actions of the Board; and supporting AOPT leadership in their professional association relationships.

Employed since: 1988

Hobbies: I enjoy riding and training my horses, working out at Burn Boot Camp, and spending time with my grandson.



Assistant Executive Director: Tara Fredrickson

Description of duties: I oversee the Academy's website, responsible for managing the AOPT's offsite educational offerings and Board Meetings, manage the Academy's Special Interest Groups and Committees, and work with the Executive Director on Board-related tasks and initiatives.

Employed since: 1993

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my husband, 2 sons and our dogs, golfing, and relaxing whenever I can!



OPTP & ISC Managing Editor: Sharon Klinski
Description of duties: I am responsible for all stages of production, advertising sales, marketing plans, and author-related interaction for Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Practice and Independent Study Courses.

Hobbies: I enjoy reading, traveling (especially road trips), and spending time with family.



Executive Assistant: JoAnn Schultz
Description of duties: Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director assisting with ongoing processes and scheduling of meetings; attending and supporting conference calls and in-person meetings for the Academy’s Board of Directors; providing general office support and maintaining various records and documents for the Academy.

Hobbies: I enjoy creating memories with friends and family, spending time in nature, and being a lifelong student of horsemanship.



CPG Managing Editor: Namrita Johal
Description of duties: I am responsible for all stages of CPG project management around development/revision, tracking of workgroup progress, stakeholder review, prepping for publication, and implementation/dissemination.

Hobbies: I enjoy traveling, hiking with my 2 dogs and reading books.



Communications Coordinator: Mariah Lang
Description of Duties: As a Communications Coordinator, I manage social media content creation and platforms, create impactful email campaigns for our membership, design graphics for the website, and oversee the AOPT Store (including merchandise design). Additionally, I analyze data across all communication channels to anticipate trends and develop strategic marketing plans. Furthermore, I create promotions and deals to enhance audience engagement and support organizational objectives.

Hobbies: I find joy in outdoor activities such as hiking, golfing, fishing, and kayaking. My time in the U.S. Air Force has provided me with enriching travels and experiences. Above all, I cherish moments spent with friends and family.

Communications Coordinator: Amber Floryance
Description of Duties: As a part of the Communications Team at AOPT, I play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and supporting our communication initiatives. I am responsible for ensuring all content is engaging and appealing, I design various banners, social media posts, and e-blasts.
