Management of Headaches
Erica Sigman, PT, DPT, OCS
Erica Sigman, PT, DPT, OCS, is the director at University of Southern California PT (a faculty practice) for the University of Southern California (USC) Division of Biokinesiolgy and Physical Therapy. She specializes in treating patients with headaches, temporomandibular joint-related issues, facial pain and weakness, orthopedic disorders, and persistent pain. Dr. Sigman completed her DPT at USC in 2009 and then went on to complete the Orthopedic Residency at USC in 2010. Dr. Sigman is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and has been a treating provider as part of the USC Keck’s Headache and Neuralgia Center for the past 11 years. Dr. Sigman is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy and the Director of the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program at USC. She also assists in teaching physical therapy continuing education courses involving the management of temporomandibular joint related disorders and management of the spine with an emphasis on the cervical region. For the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Dr. Sigman is a physical therapy mentor to the physician fellows in the Headache Fellowship. She also serves as a physical therapy mentor for dental residents studying oral medicine with an emphasis on orofacial pain in the USC School of Dentistry. In 2015, Dr. Sigman joined the Facial Nerve Center at USC and is involved in the rehabilitation of patients with facial paralysis.
Lori Ginoza, PT, DPT, NCS
Lori Ginoza, PT, DPT, NCS earned her DPT at USC in 2006 and then completed USC/RLANRC Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency in 2007. She is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a Neurologic Clinical Specialist. Dr. Ginoza is the Director of the USC/RLANRC Neurologic Physical Therapy Program. She has been a course instructor for the movement analysis course series and neuropathology course in the USC DPT program. Dr. Ginoza teaches the headache lecture in the neuropathology course. For the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Dr. Ginoza is a physical therapy mentor to physicians completing the Headache Fellowship. Dr. Lori Ginoza is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy in the University of Southern California Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy. She specializes in treating patients with headache, vestibular disorder, neurologic disorders, and facial pain and weakness. Dr. Ginoza is a treating provider as part of the USC Keck Headache and Neuralgia Center since 2008. She is the primary physical therapist providing care in the same-day interdisciplinary headache clinic.
