Leanna Blanchard, PT, DPT, CLT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Leanna Blanchard, PT, DPT, CLT, OCS, FAAOMPT received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from University of Michigan in 2012, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The George Washington University in 2015. She completed her residency in orthopaedic physical therapy through the joint program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and The George Washington University, and received board certification in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association in 2017. Dr Blanchard completed a fellowship in orthopaedic manual physical therapy under Dr Carol Courtney at The University of Illinois at Chicago, and was recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT) in 2018. She has since obtained additional certification as a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT). Dr Blanchard has lectured and provided mentorship at the DPT, residency, and fellowship levels, and published case reports in CRANIO and the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy.

Scott Burns, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is an Associate Professor, Director of the DPT program, and Interim Chair for the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences within the College of Public Health at Temple University. Dr. Burns received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy and his transitional DPT degree from the University of Colorado in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Lindsay A. Carroll, PT, DPT, OMPT
Lindsay A. Carroll, PT, DPT, OMPT received her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology in 2007 from the University of Maryland, College Park, her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010, and her Master of Science degree in rehabilitation science from Duquesne University in 2019. Carol A. Courtney, PT, PhD, ATC, FAAOMPT
Carol A. Courtney, PT, PhD, ATC, FAAOMPT is Professor at Northwestern University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St Louis, Master of Science from the University of South Australia and Louisiana State University, and a PhD from the University of Miami. Dr. Courtney is a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer and has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. In 1991 and 1992, she was chosen to serve on the USA medical staffs for the Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba, and the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. Her research investigates the effects of knee joint injury and osteoarthritis on pain processing and joint function, as well as modulation of pain mechanisms through manual therapy interventions. Mary K. Derrick, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is a PhD candidate in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Derrick studies the acquisition of pain beliefs in health providers and is a Research Assistant for the College of Health while teaching musculoskeletal physical therapy. William (Bill) Egan, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is a physical therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience. He graduated from the US-Army Baylor Program in Physical Therapy in 1999. Bill is a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Kai-Yu Ho, PT, MSPT, PhD received her bachelors and masters’ degrees in Physical Therapy from the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan in 2002 and 2004. After practicing for approximately 3 years in sports physical therapy, she came to the Unites States to pursue her PhD, which she completed in Biokinesiology at the University of Southern California in December 2012. She joined the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she is currently an Associate Professor, in August 2013. She is an author of more than 20 scientific publications. Dr. Ho’s research is primarily focused on understanding the potential biomechanical factors and imaging markers associated with degenerative joint diseases. One area of Dr. Ho’s current research is to examine temporomandibular joint dysfunction with the use of diagnostic imaging. Using ultrasound imaging, Dr. Ho has documented the improvement in joint space in a case with temporomandibular joint ankylosis after physical therapy intervention. Her recent work also establishes the association between arthrokinematics and osteokinematics of the temporomandibular joint, which provides the foundation for physical therapy practice.

Max Jordon, PT, DPT, PhD
Max Jordon, PT, DPT, PhD graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of South Carolina in 2011. After working as a full-time clinician in an outpatient orthopedic practice, he returned to the University of South Carolina to work on his PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences. His predoctoral work focused primarily on the interactions between pain and motor control using functional magnetic resonance imaging in individuals with chronic low back pain. While he was working on his PhD, he continued to work in the clinic where he started to specialize in chronic pain and low back pain management. Adam Lutz, PT, DPT, PhD earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Louisiana State University. He then attended University of North Florida where he completed his DPT. Michael O’Hara, PT, DPT, OCS is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Temple University. Dr. Robertson has taught musculoskeletal physical therapy, pharmacology differential diagnosis, and radiology courses in several physical therapy education programs, and he authored several web-based continuing education courses for entry-level and post-professional physical therapy residency and fellowship programs. Dr. Robertson has expertise in the development and implementation of hybrid and distance-based physical therapy education from entry-level through residency and fellowship education. Dr. Robertson currently serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Physical Therapy Education and is a member of the Standards Committee for the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. Robertson was also an author for the most recent Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy clinical practice guidelines for patients with neck pain. Dr. Robertson is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy. He received a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Quinnipiac University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University. Amee L. Seitz, PT, PhD, DPT is an Associate Professor and Musculoskeletal Team Leader in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science, Feinberg School of Medicine, at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Dr. Seitz has a Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from Ohio University, an Advanced Masters degree in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and transitional DPT from the MGH IHP, and a PhD in Rehabilitation Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been an ABPTS board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist for the last 20 years. She is a contributing author of the APTA Clinical Practice Guidelines for Adhesive Capsulitis and contributor on the writing panel of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeon’s Clinical Practice Guidelines for Rotator Cuff Injuries. She is Past-President of the American Society of Shoulder & Elbow Therapists (ASSET). She mentors PhD students, residents, and fellows. Her research focus seeks to elucidate neuromuscular and biomechanical mechanisms of upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders to improve patient outcomes. She has published peer-reviewed manuscripts and presented nationally and internationally on musculoskeletal shoulder injury, mechanisms, and evidence-based rehabilitation. Greg Seymour PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Greg Seymour PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT graduated from the University of Delaware (UD) with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2011. Greg became a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy after completing the Evidence in Motion residency program. As an Assistant Professor of Practice at UD, Greg is an instructor and mentor to undergraduates, DPT students, sports and orthopaedic residents, as well as fellows. He is an American Physical Therapy Association credentialed clinical instructor. Greg is the lead lab instructor for the DPT spine curriculum and has also completed the collaborative Emory University and Duke University’s vestibular rehabilitation competency-base course. Ellen Shanley, PT, PhD, OCS is a clinical research scientist for ATI and serves as the Director of Athletic Injury Research, Prevention, and Education for the South Carolina Center for Effectiveness Research in Orthopedics. She also serves as faculty at the University of South Carolina in the School of Public Health, Clemson University School of Bioengineering, and Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions PhD program. She functions as Senior Faculty in an APTA credentialed sports residency and is a co-founder of the APTA credentialed upper extremity fellowship for ATI and the Kansas City Royals. Jerry Smith, PT, DPT, OCS received his DPT from Arcadia University in 2016. He then completed an orthopaedic physical therapy residency at Temple University in 2018. Carol Waggy, PT, PhD, CHT
Carol Waggy, PT, PhD, CHT received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from West Virginia University in 1980. She completed a PhD in the Department of Anatomy in December 1995. She joined the West Virginia University Department of Human Performance, Division of Physical Therapy and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Educator/Clinical Track for professional programs. Her teaching and clinical practice has focused on evaluation and treatment of the hand and upper extremity. She received her credentials as a certified hand therapist in 1993. Dr. Waggy has lectured nationally on examination and treatment of the hand and wrist including participation with the Academy of Hand and Upper Extremity Physical Therapy and the Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy of the APTA. Most recently she has co-authored the chapter Anatomy and Kinesiology of the Hand in the book Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremity, 7th edition, and a series of articles on Hand and Finger Injuries, Family Practice EssentialsTM for the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is a member of the Academy of Hand and Upper Extremity Physical Therapy and the American Society of Hand Therapists.
